Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American-Canadian singer-songwriter. She has more than twenty albums. The songs of DiFranco are classified as alternative and folk. They also incorporate elements of hip-hop, jazz and punk. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist hero as well as a Grammy award winner. In the beginning, as one of the early female musicians in the 90s, she founded her own label. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September, 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is Italian heritage, while her mother hails from Montreal.
