Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American writer of cookbooks, who has received Emmy awards. She is the host of the longest-running Food Network series, Barefoot Contessa. The series began in 2002. It will continue to run for 27 more seasons. Ina started her career as a writer at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy papers. Though she found the career intellectually stimulating initially eventually she stopped her pursuit and decided to purchase a smaller speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. After nearly 18 years of making the store a huge success, she decided to sell it and started creating her first novel. There were many additional cookbooks as well as magazine articles followed. Between them, her Food Network show was also was a huge success. Her products range from the kitchen equipment, cooking and baking materials as well as storage containers. Ina she never went to cookery school nor did she work in a restaurant. She is a complete self-taught. Ina is known for her relaxed manner of cooking as well as entertaining. Her name is associated with her simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese with Beef Bourguignon and Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts.
